On October 15, 2009 at 1:20 pm Jason and I welcomed a new baby boy to the Alcorn family. Beckham Nathanael Alcorn was born 7.5 lbs and 20.5 inches at Medical Center of Plano. We're so blessed to now have two beautiful children. Big sister Kylie is adapting well, and really enjoying all the one-on-one time with daddy. We're currently working on settling in and adapting to life with a new born in the house. Nursing is going very well and so far Beck seems to be pretty mild mannered...we're all praying that he stays that way.
Jason has been helping out a TON by taking Ky to and from school these first couple weeks until I can figure out how mothers of multiple children get anything done!!! Although we're both struggling for sleep (no surprise with a newborn) I think Jason's getting even less per night than I am. Making the decision to stay home has been a good one for me so far. Its nice to have the time with the children and not be stressed trying to figure out how to juggle both work and home, although it would be a lie to say I don't miss my friends and more adult interaction (Beck only likes to hear me talk to myself for so long every day)
Halloween is just around the corner and Kylie is looking forward to dressing up as a witch and attending her school's Halloween carnival and going trick-or-treating this weekend. Pics to come...
