So, one of the exciting things about Jason and I starting our life together at such a young age (ie: kid, house, job, and two cars within 6 months) is that you get lots of fun new toys. We purchased our computer (which is now on its last leg) and got a camera for Christmas shortly after Kylie was born. Well, five years later and we're now seeing the down side of living the high life all at once. Everything is starting to need replacing at the same time. This past Christmas we started with getting a new camera. Thought it might be a good time with the new baby coming soon. We've been looking at the slr's for sometime, but knowing nothing about cameras, it took Jason a while to really figure out what he wanted.

Well, for Christmas this year we took the plunge, asking for a gift certificate from my parents to best buy. A couple weeks ago we bought a nikon d3000. and no...i have no idea what that is, and I still know nothing about cameras. But I'm hoping to at least learn enough to get by. (It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to connect the lense the first time) Lately, we've just been messing around, shooting pics around the house, trying to figure out how the stuff works.

Here are some random shots we've taken, and although we've got a long way to go, it is clear that this camera leaves our old one in the dust. Now if only I could get someone to replace our computer =)
